Material requests, from the field to the office

Field workers request material from their phone, in the project they are working on. The office sees the request, replies in the same place, and the request is closed when the material arrives.

How a request works

  1. The field worker requests

Inside the project, they write which material and how much, and choose the urgency: not urgent, urgent or critical. They can add notes.

  2. The office sees it

The request appears in the project and the office gets a notification. Each request has its own conversation: what is asked and what is answered stays with the request.

  3. The status changes

Pending, ordered or received. Everyone knows where it stands without calling.

  4. Delivery is confirmed

When the material arrives, the field worker confirms delivery in the request itself.

Transport too

Next to the requests is transport: where it leaves from, where it goes and what it carries, with the company or the driver and their phone number. Its status is changed with one tap: scheduled, on the way, delivered or delayed.

What it solves

  • Material ordered by phone that nobody wrote down.
  • Not knowing whether something has been ordered, is on its way or is already on site.
  • Urgent items mixed up with what can wait.

What it is not

Zetein's requests are the communication between the project and the office. They are not a warehouse: Zetein does not track stock or purchases from suppliers.

Questions

Can the office create a request?

Yes. Requests are created by field workers from their phones and also by the office.

Can a request be cancelled?

Yes. Whoever made it cancels it from its details.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. The request is saved on the phone and sent when the signal returns.

Can a subcontractor request material from me?

Yes, if you share the project's requests with it. If you do not, the requests it makes stay within its own company.
